KIND WORDS FROM CLIENTS

  • Karl Willett, Stylist

“I first worked with Grace in 2016 when I booked her as an on-set seamstress for BBC’s ‘The Voice.’ Grace was thrown in at the deep end and I was struck by how hardworking and dedicated she was. Her enthusiasm paired with great skills spoke to me immediately, and I knew Grace was going to be a brilliant seamstress.

As a Stylist it is really important to build the best team around me. Since 2016 Grace and I have built an excellent working relationship, and she has become my go to seamstress. No project is ever the same, and I am always impressed with how Grace’s skills can shift and adjust to the challenge at hand. I can confidently book Grace for any job and I know she will complete it to the highest standard. We have notably worked together on ‘The X-Factor’, ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ as well as my private clients which include Amanda Holden and Jennifer Hudson.”

  • Joanne, bespoke bride

“As a 50 year old bride I was nervous about achieving the right look for my wedding day. Add that I’m 5 feet tall with an H size bust and a rather voluptuous figure I was beginning to think that I would never find anything I would be happy with. I also had the added challenge of getting married in the heat and only had 12 weeks until the big day!

Then I found “amazing Grace”! She really is incredible, she totally understood my concerns and insecurities and after a few emails and telephone conversation I went to meet her and look at materials. It was then that I knew I was in very safe hands. It was just like she had reached inside my mind and selected all the beautiful fabrics I would have been drawn to. At every stage she reassured, advised listened and suggested options. She designed and created my dream dress and I cannot recommend her highly enough. It was very important that the dress was as cool as possible and Grace totally got the brief and suggested the materials that would work best. Her standard of finish is impeccable and she works with you to achieve your dream. Thank you Grace, I feel privileged that you were able to create my gown.”

  • Emily, bespoke bride

“The thing about Grace is she isn’t pushing for business, she is an advocate for the perfect dress for you. She gave me subtle advice on what would work with my personality, wedding day and of course figure. I loved my meetings with Grace, and her skill set. Not just in design and sewing - she also managed to make me relaxed and is a good ear to chat away to. As your wedding day draws in, and your fitting arrives trying on a dress with a glass of bubbles with the comfort of Grace and a friend by your side beats any bridal store moment. I loved my dress, and the dress seemed to love me too; fitting like a glove and had built up a unique journey with me, ready to walk me down the isle with confidence. Each fitting right up until the day before my wedding Grace was a calm positive influence.”

  • Keri, bespoke bride

“Where do I start, thank you so much for making the most beautiful wedding dress EVER! It was just perfect! You made the whole journey so enjoyable and stress free, and you totally got on board with my vision. I knew from the very first meeting, when we spoke about the same French laces and designs that you would be able to make my vision reality . . . and you definitely did. You could really see the time and care you put in when creating it. Every step of the way you make sure that every little detail was perfect.”

  • Jo, bespoke bride

“Thank you so much for bringing my dream dress to life. It felt like a dream to wear. You managed to create such beautiful detail. I also wanted to mention thank you for your patience throughout the process. Every visit you filled me with confidence and kindness. Thank you”

  • Hayley, bespoke bride

“I got my dress made by Grace Lane London, who having been recommended to me by someone, turned out to be a friend of a friend who lived just down the road! Grace and I worked together to design every element of my dress from scratch, piecing together details and ideas from dresses I’d tried on in various bridal boutiques. Being short, fussy and not overly traditional, I loved the freedom of creating something that was just for me. I ended up with an Italian lace top half, with scalloped edges and elbow length sleeves, and a long, straight Italian silk skirt with a thigh-high split.”
