Hi, I’m Grace and I’m a freelance designer and dressmaker living and working in London. For as long as I can remember I have always loved designing and making clothes. One of my earliest memories is sorting through my Granny’s sewing box, I still use her thimble and pin box today!
After graduating with a 1:1 BA honours in Fashion Design from Southampton Solent University I began interning at Alexander McQueen, followed by the Savile Row tailor Gieves & Hawkes. It was here that I honed my skills, and soaked up everything I could. I then went on to work at Angels the costumiers where I assisted on costumes for T.V, Films, and Operas. These included Game of Thrones and Beauty and The Beast.
After being a bridesmaid for my best friend Sophie I was introduced to the wonderful world of bridal, and knew my bespoke skills and design background had found their home. At the beginning of 2016 I decided to go freelance, and Grace Lane London was born!
Alongside my bridal commissions, I also work with celebrity stylists and on films. Most recently working on Star Wars. The diverse work I do allows me to constantly grow as a designer and maker. Being in the creative hive of London inspires me, I love getting to know each customer and helping them to create something they will feel amazing in.
Please feel free to get in touch, I’d love to hear from you.
